alice in wonderland. that was our vision for the images decking the walls (and website) of the little shop. and with expert styling, beautiful models and an enchanted green forest location….it all seemed to work perfectly. and now the reveal of these images blown up HUGE on canvas tell a vibrant, show stopping story. suitably matched to the style and vibe of the little shop. definitely check it out!

recently, the village journal contacted me to help them with a mother’s day piece for their april/may issue. they had an idea about featuring photos of local kids and asking them what they love about their mom.  of course, i jumped at the chance to help out! as a haile village resident, mom and photographer, i had loads of images to share.  we collaborated on the feature and voila! a wonderful spread of kid-funny quotes along with some of my favorite kid-images. and when they surprised me by using my picture for the cover, i was simply over the moon!  this mikifoto journey has been a wild ride full of wonderful surprises. i feel like one lucky lady

meet tara griffin, a woman who wears many hats. she’s a mom to two adorable kiddos. she’s a wife to her college sweetheart. she’s the co-founder of Sweat Life, a private fitness studio in Haile Village (this is where i go for my personal training and it is AWESOME!). and now she’s the mastermind behind Vintage Winnie, a design center for everything from websites to post cards.  she is creative and colorful and funky and talented. not to mention ohhhh soooo pretty! definitely contact her if you need a fresh start to your business or a modern update.  she will do wonders.

after viewing her granddaughters’ photo gallery, bonnie contacted me to get some images of her own.  bonnie cameron and her husband, ralph, are a dynamic duo, real estate agent couple in town.  in business for over 30 years, you probably have seen or heard of them, “camerons….make it happen!”. they wanted some updated photos for their business.  something fresh.  something distinctive.  something that would communicate their polished yet casual, friendly attitude.  i was thrilled at this new opportunity to capture a business portrait.

and while we were shooting, we threw in some fun, lifestyle shots.  they pulled out their life’s passion, their harley davidson bikes.  and they told me stories of how they have motorcycled all across the US.  not only are they partners in life and work but also play.  it really doesn’t get cooler then that.
