meet the zeig children - sophia, benjamin and jacob. three energizer bunnies under the age of 6. all bubbling with personality. all fans of anything chocolate. all moving at the speed of light. we had a blast running around haile village and these little ones kept me going. the boys loved to bolt as much as they loved to eat their lollipops. and big sister sophia was so helpful, so sweet and oh so beautiful. look at the eyes on this young lady. all in all, a fun-filled non-stop whirlwind of a shoot.

an early saturday morning shoot, there was a chill in the air and some frost on the ground. but the sun was up so it was a good day to photograph the clavier kids - juliette, christopher and william. and their friendly spirits and contagious laughter kept us all warm. i loved watching the connection between the siblings. they completed each other’s sentences, laughed at each other’s silliness and were just so encouraging. they didn’t mind getting close and hugging and holding and even giving some kisses. what a fun family!

for many of us, turkey day is a memory of the past and we’re already focusing on Christmas. but i still remember fondly our holiday time up in new york/new jersey. it was over a year since we’ve been back north and this time we visited with a new addition to our family. we introduced our little man - AK Shay (his new nickname). it was wonderful to see everyone - brothers, cousins, aunts, uncles, long time childhood friends. and all my funny beautiful nephews and my one spunky niece. the children played like they saw each other every day. bursting with energy. and lucky enough, we had a golden sunny mild afternoon and all the kiddos could celebrate and enjoy each other outside. proving again that we have so much to be thankful for.

i am so proud to be part of this loud and crazy crew. we already miss you!

meet the lovely eliana and handsome andrew. brother and sister extraordinaire. 4 year old eli bedazzled me with her amazing smile and silly sense of humor. we talked princesses, picked flowers and drank chocolate tea at her tea party. and lil andrew with the soulful eyes. his pinchable cheeks. his longer then life lashes. he just made me melt.

this family has a special place in my heart. a year ago, i was new to gainesville and thinking about how i was going to start my photography business up again. my new friend, stacey, welcomed me into her home and let me photograph her beautiful babies. then she was kind enough to spread the word about me. she truly helped get the ball rolling on my business. and i am oh so grateful.

fast forward a year and here we are again with her cuties for their holiday session. we decided to try kanapaha park and it was the perfect backdrop. mac and logan climbed trees and rocks (plus a bit of wrestling in swampy grass) with all their big boy energy. sweet lil maggie charmed my camera with her sparkly blue eyes and shy smile. the light was gorgeously golden. and the wardrobe that stacey selected was right on - bright, bold and youthful. and don’t forget, winnie! their lovable dog that is a true member of the family.

all in all, a fun and lively session. here’s the fogler sneak peak….

they are back….the dynamic trio of andrew, kate and josie! i photographed them last year at this time and boy what a difference a year makes. little josie is no longer stationary. she darts around exploring the world like a pinball. her eyes are full of light and curiosity. andrew is now a confident first grader with a smile that will break hearts. and then of course their is 5 year old kate who has the loving spirit of a caretaker. not to mention the most luminous skin. all lively. all cheerful. all sweet as pie.

meet ten year old twins, amy and will. both interested in athletics, volleyball for her and football for him. both fun loving kids who appreciate the land and nature surrounding their alachua home. both happy and bright eyed.

they told me that they didn’t really get along….but i found that hard to believe. it seemed so natural for them to be side by side with amy’s head resting on will’s shoulder. or will tickling amy to get her to laugh. or amy jumping on will’s back for a ride. it didn’t feel or look awkward. it felt like the closeness only a brother and sister could share.

three beautiful children. a gorgeous golden evening. and an amazing home as a backdrop. the perfect formula for memorable photos.

allison, lynley and michael were a true joy to photograph. all in different stages and all with different personalities. allison is the 2nd grader with a spunky spirit and bubbly smile that reminds me of her mom. lynley is the graceful pre-teen with a soulful side . and michael is the football-playing teenager who has a soft spot for his younger sisters. and when together, they seemed to mesh and compliment and fit like pieces to a puzzle.

maharani means princess in hindi. and with her ornate dress and sparkling personality, isha could definitely carry that title. she has charm and playfulness. sass and spirit. her eyes alone could tell you a thousand stories. for such a tiny package, isha shows great expression. i think she’s destined for bollywood!
